Egypt
This is the scripture where God is angry at Israel for trusting in Egypt and not Him, and so it is today.
2Kings 18:19-21
19. And Rabshakeh said unto them, Speak ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria,
What confidence is this wherein thou trustest?
Comment: Assyria is Iran (Persians).
20. Thou sayest, (but they are but vain words,) I have counsel and strength for the war. Now on whom dost thou
trust, that thou rebellest against me?
21. Now, behold, thou trustest upon the staff of this bruised reed, even upon Egypt, on which if a man lean, it will
go into his hand, and pierce it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt unto all that trust on him.
Isaiah 11:10-16
10. And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the
Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
Comment: Through the seed line of Jesse would come Jesus which shall stand for a sign of the people; whom the
Nations seek.
11. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the
remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and
from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.
Comment: What day are we talking about? The Lord’s Day, which is approaching right now. God is going to
recover His remnant (the Elect) of his people. Assyria (Iran), Pathros (Cairo), Cush (Ethiopia), Elam (Persians-
Eastern Iran), Shinar (Iraq-Chaldea), Hamath (Syria and the Kenites) and “islands or the sea” means “desirious
coasts”.
12. And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together
the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
Comment: Ensign means a flag or a signal, usually declaring war. Anytime the four corners are mentioned we are
talking about God’s anger ready to be unleashed. The dispersed is Nineveh in the Greek and is the capital of
Assyria (Iran).
13. The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy
Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.
Comment: Ephraim (USA), Israel and America have always been a team.
14. But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east
together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.
Comment: Philistines (Palestine-Gaza), Edom (Russia), Moab (Africa), and Ammon (robbers of the East or the
Kenites).
15. And the Lord shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his
hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod.
Comment: What is the head of the Egyptian sea or the Mediterranean Sea? The Suez Canal which is the main
shipping route for all the crude oil. “His mighty wind” is really “in the heat of His wind”, God is angry and will utilize
these bad nations for His purpose.
16. And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria; like as it was to
Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.
Comment: God always gives us a way out.
Isaiah 19:11-17
11. Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the counsel of the wise counsellers of Pharaoh is become brutish: how
say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?
Comment: “Princes of Zoan” is the “Leaders of Egypt”, Pharaoh is a general title for the Kings of Egypt. The rest of
the verse means Kings of the East. Sound familiar? Revelations 15:12, the Sixth Trumpet.
12. Where are they? where are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now, and let them know what the Lord of
hosts hath purposed upon Egypt.
Comment: The last part of this verse means, “let them know what God (Yehovah) has planned of the armies
against Egypt.
13. The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, even
they that are the stay of the tribes thereof.
Comment: Princes of Noph is the leader of Upper Egypt or Cairo.
14. The Lord hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work
thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.
Comment: “Spirit” here is “Ruwach” and means God’s Spirit or the Holy Spirit.
The word “work” is “business”, Egypt will fall because of “bad business”.
15. Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which the head or tail, branch or rush, may do.
Comment: This verse means to shake the head, like taking someone and shaking them to try to wake them up. The
head is the King and the tail is lesser government.
16. In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand
of the Lord of hosts, which he shaketh over it.
Comment: Women means adulterous women, figuratively. God with make them to tremble in fear from the tumult.
17. And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in
himself, because of the counsel of the Lord of hosts, which he hath determined against it.
Comment: Terror here means “a sudden alarm”, dread is “hostility”.
Here’s another reference for you to look up, all pointing to the nations of the world drunken with the wine of
fornication against the people. It is an analogy God gives, for what does a drunken man do after he has drank too
much, they fall down and vomit. Look at the break down of the world economies today.
